Site visit-pour bent 2 wall

Contractor was ready to pour wall, pump truck was onsite waiting on concrete. Concrete was onsite at 12:47, i tested concrete: Slump 41/2", Air 6.5%, Temp 59°. Made 3 cylinders, pour went good

Contractor was late to site. Trying to get equipment going. Was supposed be onsite at 8 but did not arrive till 10.

 

Started driving piling at 10:40

 

 

 

 

Finished all four piling at 12:40, talk to contractor about schedule and headed back around 1.

12:30pm- East approach bent wall pour

1:10pm- West approach bent wall pour

Site visit-Prebore Bent 2

Drillers onsite at 7:40 to layout bore hole

Drilling first Battered hole, most north one.

Finished first preview at 12:00, moving rig to other batter hole

Moved to next hole, hit part of old bridge

Finished second hole and moved to next hole. Had to layout holes do to rig taking them out.

Started third hole at 1:20, all holes hitting rock around 5 feet down.

Finished third hole 3:10, moved to last hole.

Got started on hole four around 3:20, hit rock around five feet as was the rest of the holes. Headed back to office at 3:45.

Contractor is planning on pouring Back walls on Friday on Bents 1 & 3.

Site visit-Poured Bents 1 & 3 Caps

 Contractor was ready to pour concrete when i arrived on site. first truck was onsite at 10:55, i tested concrete: Slump 41/2", Air 7.5%, Temp 45°, made 3 cylinders. Contractor did not order enough concrete. should have been 9.5 CY. ordered 6.5 CY.

 Finished Bent 3 at 2:25.

 Moved to Bent 1, I tested concrete: Slump 4", Air 5.0%, Temp 50°. Made 3 cylinders

Contractor will blanket bents after finishing concrete.

 Contractor was able to make something to hold piling, they drove all piling for bent 1
